Hot in LaPlace, Louisiana

Hi everyone - just wanted to say hello. It got up to 100 degrees today and the only way to get cool was to stay outside for 10 minutes and then go back inside. Wow that feels good. Still no rain, but at least some communities did get some. It has been hot here.

Vanessa's Shower

I want to introduce you all to my future daughter-in-law Vanessa. She and Scott are getting married. Jerry's daughter Kelly, who is Vanessa's best friend, gave her a shower today and we had a great time. Here are a few pictures.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Getting fitted for their Tux

Well today was the day to get fitted for the tux. Looks like they had a great time. About 22 days before the big day. I am sure Scott had a great time with his kids: Caton, Perrin and Logan.

Well I am not familiar with Rugby but it seems like that is a fun sport in Avon, ID. My grandson Caton is the one with the streaked hair. He seems to really enjoy this sport.

 

 

 

BIG FUN IN LAFAYETTE

Looks like Logan and Perrin found something interesting today while shopping with Vanessa. A trolley that I am sure was right down Logan's line. They are just so cute... Vanessa seems to be having fun as well. Digging for diamonds.

 

An afternoon with Margaret

Yesterday I went to Baton Rouge to take care of Margaret while Kelly and Kyle went to the LSU baseball game. Now that she is 20 months old, she likes to do a lot of things. She is now able to ride her tricycle, climbs over the furniture and always wants to go outside. She speaks very well and definitely has her own opinion. Another thing I wasn't aware of is the word "WHY". Well it has been a long time since I raised my own children, so the grand kids want to know everything. As you can imagine, I had to come up with a lot of answers for "WHY". But I can say the day was great.

Well summer is here and so are our beautiful flowers. Jerry did a great job buying the right ones for our hanging baskets and since we did not have a bad winter, a lot of the ones we had last year came back and are just beautiful.
